Are you a Band 7 Therapist looking for a new challenge? Or an experienced Band 6 wanting to move into Leadership?
Our Preschool Complex Needs Team, operating across Crawley and Mid Sussex Child Development Centres (CDCs) needs you! The team is looking for a leader to take them forward in supporting the busy and diverse caseload.
Excellent and broad-reaching clinical skills combined with a resilient and flexible personality are required. This role has a high clinical component including dysphagia, excellent people management skills, superb organizational skills and a can-do attitude will all be essential.
The Preschool Complex Needs Team works closely with the Multidisciplinary Teams in the CDCs and is well supported in the Locality by SLT Clinical Leads in Dysphagia, ASC, HI and Early Years. Across the Trust there is also support from B7 colleagues working in CDCs in the three other Localities, there are regular county wide meetings to... review cases ensuring a high quality service is delivered to children across the CDCs.
We have a Professional Lead for Children’s Speech and Language Therapy, who provides additional advice or supervision on professional matters, Governance and Standards. We also have an 8a Dysphagia Specialist post and each Locality has a Clinical Service Manager. There is a robust supervision system for Clinical and Operational Management and access to support such as Coaching and Guided Reflective Practice.
This is a Clinical Lead role for Preschool Complex Needs in the Central Area of West Sussex, the applicant would work in conjunction with the Clinical Leads from neighbouring Brighton and Hove, as well as West Sussex.
The ideal candidate be able write complex clinical reports based on assessment findings. They will have knowledge and skills suitable to be able to contribute to projects, data collection and strategic developments within the Preschool Complex Needs Pathway.
Some experience of managing or supervising a small team would be an advantage.
