JMSC-IP Lead Technician, Systems /Network Administrator

GDIT is seeking qualified Network Administrator candidates for Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo-Pacific (JMSC-IP) program at the Vandal Training Center in the Republic of Korea. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration... between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

The Network Administrator provides ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of computer networks (LAN/WAN). Installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems. Monitors and manages data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission. Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Enforces security policies. Plans include distribution of data, voice, and VTC over LAN and WAN in classified and unclassified modes for simulations/stimulation networks; NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and tactical networks. Additional skills will also be required to configure and maintain security posture of the training networks by following all DOD STIGs associated with systems on supported network domains, including VTC, VoIP, CUCM and Layer 2 networking devices. The Network Administrator will also be required to assist with troubleshooting all problems that arise with the network to maintain optimal performance and provide relevant operational feedback and reports.

Skills And Abilities
• Implements technical solutions in the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures, including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters, and servers.
• Must have a strong understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup methodologies.
• Advanced planning, troubleshooting and maintenance skills on CISCO router, switch, and firewall configuration/ architecture to include an understanding of firewall theory and configuration.
• Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.
• Understands and implements the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification & Accreditation process and procedures to secure, authorize, and manage IT systems.
• Understands the technical requirements to extend a remote training network enclaves utilizing local NEC circuits.
• Evaluates existing network systems to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements.
• Installs, configures, and maintains secure data and voice networks within various classified enclaves, utilizing TACLANE (KG-175D, KG-175G) encryptions.
• Configures network devices; utilizing VLANs and EIGRIP tunneling to segregate and manage network traffic.
• Manages Cisco VoIP call manager for internal training network VoIP network.
• Utilize STIG configuration standards to harden training networks to mitigate vulnerabilities and lower the risk of cybersecurity incidents.
• Assist training network simulation system instructors with the network and system integration of Program of Record (POR) software and systems.

Education
• BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.
• 5-8 years of experience; Military training and training support at Brigade and above highly preferred.
• Comp TIA SEC+ is required. Additional Professional Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD Approved RMF Baseline Certifications.

Clearance
• Position requires a SECRET clearance; candidate MUST be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
