About the Opportunity

The role takes responsibility of developing and implementing a digital content strategy to grow our audience across WA and to better respond to our Members’ needs.
The purpose of this role is to deliver a strategy to keep Members and the WA business community informed of CCIWA’s advocacy efforts, showcase our services and provide insights into the major challenges faced by our Members and the broader business community.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
To create and collaborate with the Manager, Content & Marketing in developing a content strategy to generate greater engagement with various audiences. Identify opportunities and manage the development of articles across our organisation. Implementation of distribution of timely, engaging, proactive brand-aligned content for digital channels, including website, newsletters & social media platforms, that is aligned to CCIWA’s strategic goals. Create and update website copy for all... business units. Works closely with the Policy team, Principal Adviser Media and Government Relations and the CEO to deliver content that supports CCIWA’s advocacy efforts. Supports the development of content creation and curation strategies to connect with influencers, grow followers and digital platform(s) traffic. Engages with Marketing, Membership & Commercial Business Units to identify news and stories for content creation to build our brand, relationships and revenue. Working with the Manager, Content & Marketing to build and manage a calendar for content intended to meet member needs and CCIWA’s strategic goals. Works effectively and participates with the team to promote curiosity, innovation, strategy development and problem-solving to impact change. Responsible for producing content for key digital transformation projects Supports the effort to measure content efficacy and apply it back to improving content strategy and delivery. Collaborates with Marketing and Membership to ensure content is optimised for search engines, social media and member experience. Supports the development of content creation and curation strategies to connect with influencers, grow followers and digital platform(s) traffic. Working to build and manage in conjunction with Marketing a calendar for content intended to meet member needs and CCIWA’s strategic goals. Works effectively and participates with the team to promote curiosity, innovation, strategy development and problem-solving to impact change. This is a full-time (9 months) Parental Leave cover . The position is available for immediate commencement.

This position will be split across two locations operating out of our Osborne Park and CBD office.

About you
To be considered for this role you will also possess:
Proven success in a journalist/content role Broad experience in multi-channel content strategy, planning and execution including social and digital media content and communications. Strategic thinker and storyteller, able to create content that aligns to organisational strategy and engages members. Ability to interpret and translate technical and complex information into language and content easily understood by members with a range of knowledge and understanding. Innovative mind, ability to challenge the status quo and think outside the box. Has a sound understanding of the political arena and how content can impact on the organisation’s ability to influence. Experience in producing quality content in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and ability to negotiate and influence at all levels. Sound problem-solving and analytical abilities to drive decision-making and outcomes. Outstanding writing and editing skills.
