Role Description
The Senior Data Analyst role will lead data analysis and predictive modeling for large annuity book of business.
Opportunities include:
Exposure to Business Senior Management and other leaders within Risk Management, Actuarial and Finance and positively impact product design and various initiatives
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Analyze large data set of annuity book of business; summarize key statistics, identify insights and behavioral patterns
• Recommend product changes, ideas and revised assumptions based on data analysis
• Build a predictive model using experience and data insights to inform product decisions
• Track experience for the various data decision initiatives
The base salary range for this position is $81,000 - $121,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Mathematics or equivalent required
• Proficient in SQL, Hadoop, Python (or other language)
• Proficient in Excel VBA, and knowledge in PowerPoint is helpful
• 2+ years of data-mining experience with generating actionable insights
• Self-starting with strong organization skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a demanding environment
Skills required to ensure your success include:
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
