We are currently seeking a passionate Duty Manager to join the team here at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual to be a part of the relaunching of the Jumeirah Lowndes hotel. The hotel is currently being reinvented as a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Belgravia with a newly decorated ground floor. We are looking for an Duty Manager who will be a pioneer in reinventing the guest experience with high levels of customisation and service beyond expectations.

The successful candidate will be part of something special and will have the opportunity to bring their ideas to the table, with high levels of empowerment to implement new innovations. Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel has updated all technology including Opera Cloud, mobile technology, HotSOS Rex, E-Butler, E-Concierge and many others.

About the role

As a Duty Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of all duties of the... Front Office operation. To assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel operation, achieving maximum guest satisfaction and adhering to the standard of service required by the hotel in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, and objectives. The Duty Manager will act as liaison between Reception, Concierge and other Departments in all matters related to guests checking in and/or checking out, as well as ensuring maximum follow up during their stay.
• To carry out Duty Manager Responsibilities
• To assist the Front Office operation by answering phone calls, checking guests in and out of the hotel and assisting the Concierge team with luggage movements where required.
• To assign amenities on a daily basis to all arriving VIP / return guests and ensure coordination with Room Service at all times
• To ensure a welcome card is prepared by the relevant person (generally the GM) for every arriving VIP / return guests
• To carry out daily courtesy calls to VIPs / return guests
• To ensure that the guest profile record is up to date at all times, and all data correctly entered
• To transfer any guest related information from the DM log to the Opera profile records and follow through with a letter where needed
• Ensure that all rooms are sold at the best possible rate, thus maximising hotel revenue.
• Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
• Current experience within a hotel or similar environment
• Excellent level of English
• Excellent communicator and able to connect with all levels in the business with the ability to motivate your colleagues.
• Effective organisational skills; able to prioritise tasks and self-manage a workload
• Excellent personal presentation with a warm and welcoming personality.
• Friendly, approachable and professional
• Have a strong eye for detail
