The Opportunity The purpose of the role is to support Quality Assurance activities and compliance reporting functions in support of the Quality Assurance Manager and the company as a whole.The role will support the deployment and improvement of the Quality Assurance based on ISO/IATF16949 standard as required across PTO EMC to allow them to focus on current/new manufacturing activities whilst this role drives the organisation to ensure that events are undertaken with robustness and integrity. The successful candidate will be expected to grow and develop the role as the Quality Department grows and matures. This is a key position within the Quality... Department and EMC UK as a whole and the scope of work will be varied and demanding. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities • Maintain a Quality Management System across all functions within EMC, following ISO/IATF16949 standard.• Support the deployment of QMS within EMC as required.• Monitor, assure and assess to the rest of the areas in terms of document control process, internal audits and everything related with the compliance with ISO/IATF 16949. • Generate reports and documentation for senior reviews (QMR)• Internal audit plan to designated areas and processes in all the different phases (annual and monthly schedule, programme). • Support internal audit process within EMC and lead the process if required.• Monitor non-conformances as a result of ISO/IATF 16949 audits (internal/external/corporate) until closure, opportunities for improvement and any potential issue raised during any of the QMS audits performed (external, internal, corporates, etc.) • Prepare reports and graphs including updated information as required in quality assurance score cards (including non-conformances and audit schedule) • Review, capture and apply best practice and lessons learned for the Quality Department at EMC UK• Bi-weekly Conformity of Production with Company Quality • Assist any other tasks as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager Knowledge, Skills and Experience Skills required: • Applicants are required to be Quality orientated and Customer Focused. • Ability and initiative to work alone and under minimal supervision is essential. • Ability to work cross functionally. • Computer Skills and numerical aptitude are required to collect, collate and communicate data to the wider business. • Good written and verbal communication skills.• Must demonstrate an understanding of the inherent responsibilities contained within this role and the potential impact of these on the wider JLR Business. • Knowledge of the engine assembly processes. • Capability to work in teams under pressure and deliver under accelerated timeframes. • Proactive.• Ability to demonstrate being a team player and fully committed with the goals of the department. • Ability to interact, direct & influence cross-functional teams that span the organization• Ability to demonstrate tenacity Experience required: • Clear understanding of ISO/IATF16949 standard automotive. • Experience of working with MS Excel & MS Office 2010 applications at intermediate or above level is essential.• Quality Management System monitoring and maintenance.• Understanding of documents structure within EMC including procedures (SPL, templates, QPS, PPS, etc.) (desirable) • Familiarisation with all aspects of core tools (including APQP and PPAP).• Ideally has experience in a QMS / quality role in an automotive or similar environment and experienced end to end projects development.• Knowledge of a mature Quality Management System SO WHY US?
