WGRZ, Channel 2 On You Side is looking for a dynamic storm specialist to join our experienced crew of Storm Team 2 Meteorologists.The ideal candidate excels in sustained severe weather coverage during major events, while still being able to tell a relevant audience-focused forecast daily.

Responsibilities
• Fluent in how to win weather on all platforms.
• Ability to deliver audience-focused forecasts with impact
• Strong social media skills, including an active weather presence on Facebook and Instagram
• Collaboration with other members of our team to produce a superior viewing experience.
• Ability to build graphics that support your presentation.

Requirements
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an On-Air Broadcast Meteorologist
• Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science required
• Experience on WSI Max family of products
• Availability to work a flexible schedule and fill-in when necessary.
• Engaging personality that lights up all screens
• AMS/CBM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of shooting, writing and editing stories
• Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
• Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.
• Physical Demands Set: Sedentary work: Involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
