LOGISTICS/DISTRIBUTION MANAGER OPPORTUNITY IN ST. ALBANS (HERTFORDSHIRE)

My client is keen to speak with you if you an experienced Logistics/Distribution Manager looking for your next role to be one where you are closer to the action: the product, the customer, your co-workers and success!

The company operates within a niche market with a sizable market share. As the Logistics/Distribution Manager, you will lead a a team of 5 direct reports and be responsible for the management of the Logistics Office, 3rd Party Logistics Providers, the company's commercial Fleet and all related processes.

You will therefore be someone who can provide strong operational and analytical support to the Director of Operations.

Other Responsibilities will include:
• Order/Delivery fulfilment: manage and monitor all UK & Ireland order delivery requirements, ensuring all customers’ orders are delivered within agreed customer and internal lead times and Group OTIF targets.
• Stock Management: Work with... Supply Chain Manager to ensure the flow of inbound stock is efficient, to maximize sales turnover. Prioritization of Inbound stock from BDE and External suppliers into the warehouse and monitor and log all inbound freight on arrival into the UK to ensure no delays in supply.
• Logistics Optimization: Reduce the company's Cost to Serve % on its Fleet and 3rd Party Logistics Providers
• Analyse delivery performance using metrics, data and KPIs in order to devise, deliver and implement an effective improvement strategy, with regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement
• Logistics: Warehouse Planning
• Manage Logistics Team and all training for the Team
• Maximize Driver resources to support Warehouse output and increase efficiency
• Have oversight for all operator license requirements related to vehicles and drivers
