• As a member of the Development & Marketing team, this position supports management of our agency’s brand through the creation, scheduling, production, and measurement of online and printed communications. Assists in the execution of major special events and leads smaller volunteer-driven events.

• Supports Chief Development and Marketing Officer in planning and executing a strategic and integrated marketing and development plan that includes internal and external communications; and action steps for individual, corporate, planned giving, and information management.
• Supports Chief Development and Marketing Officer in strengthening and managing a portfolio of donors in the areas of donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, recognition, and stewardship.
• Manages the donor database ensuring integrity and accuracy. This includes data entries, acknowledgement letters, pledge communications, notes, reports and monthly reconciliation with Chief Finance and Business Officer.
• Manages volunteers including scheduling projects, communications, and tracking hours.
• Stewards, cultivates and solicits individual, corporate, and group gifts to increase the donor base and giving.
• Solicit and increase Sustainer’s Circle program donor base and giving.
• As liaison for Youth Ambassadors, our high school-age supporters, manages recruitment, trainings, initiatives and events on a quarterly basis throughout the school year. Works to grow the YA program through existing relationships and recruitment efforts.
• Develops relationships with representatives from area corporations and organizations to recruit donors. Supports community outreach efforts by attending fairs and other events with potential donors.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government regulations and trends in philanthropy. Be alert to new opportunities and potential resources. Maintain the highest level of ethical and professional standards in the management of philanthropic resources.
• Attends all required organization in-services.
• Attends a minimum of one continuing education offering per year.
• Demonstrates awareness of socioeconomic and cultural diversity.


Accountable to the Chief Development and Marketing Officer for carrying out assigned responsibilities and for following agency policies and procedures.
