About the Role...
Will work in a team environment, with minimal supervision, managing multiple projects with positive results. Must be a positive and productive member of an existing/established Sales organization.
What You'll Do:
• Provide technical sales expertise for all services sold by Windstream's Global Accounts Sales Engineering team.
• Aid in the development of network solutions for Global Account customers to include analyzing customer needs, providing technical support on RFPs/RFIs and presenting solutions to customers virtually and in-person. Anticipating 20-35% travel requirement.
• Identify technical issues involving network design, topology, access, POP locations and maps
• Assist with solutions involving fiber builds
• Serve as technical liaison to Windstream's internal support groups (ICSC, Network Planning and Engineering, Service Delivery, Network Operations, Pricing, Product Development and Legal) to coordinate network interconnection with customers by interfacing with Windstream network planning, OSP and engineering personnel.
• Maintain a current and comprehensive knowledge of Windstream network, products and services and relevant related industry communication technologies
Do You Have?
• Experience in the High-end Enterprise space
• Skilled in use of basic and advanced computer software including Microsoft Office and Visio
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong understanding of DWDM, Dark Fiber and Ethernet technologies and applications
• Ability to work with limited supervision and guidance
• Background in network planning and engineering, data planning and engineering or sales engineering
Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience.
Qualifications
College degree in IT, Engineering or a related field and 6 years professional level experience; or 10 years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required. This is a safety sensitive position.
