Job Summary

Liquid Food Solutions (LFS) Operations Engineering USA within Tetra Pak® Processing Solutions & Equipment is looking for a Commissioning Engineer with a technical competence that allows you to commission Branded Processing Units (BPU) to our Market Operations and end customers. In this position you will execute installation tasks, preventive maintenance and you will perform the short-term planning, coordination and execution of planned and corrective maintenance. In this role you will also oversee trouble shooting of control systems and execute commissioning activities. In this position you will act as a primary site-based customer contact. LFS develops and manufacture processing solutions for customers... within the dairy, beverage, and prepared food industry all over the world. Centers of excellence are in Sweden, USA, China, India and Singapore.

LFS is in the greater Mexico City area and designs and manufactures processing equipment primarily for North America including Mexico.

The position is based in Cuautitlán Estado de Mexico, Mexico;
You should be able to travel (national & U.S) 80% of your time work activities.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What you will do

As Commissioning Engineer you will:

- Participate in preparing customer site for installation and commissioning events of processing equipment.
- Commissioning and troubleshooting on customer sites.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Test with customer participation in the workshop.
- Participation in development projects.
- Prepare material for start-up, take over and commissioning of branded process units.
- Occasionally working with internal sales support, customer claims, product nursing and product development, support, and audits at customer sites.
- Delivery tests, performed in our workshop.
- Prepare commissioning reports and feedback to sales, project, and development team.
- Inform relevant Tetra Pak staff in a timely manner about discovered Technical Issues.
- Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements. Execute all work in accordance with Tetra Pak standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety. Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues.

We believe you have

- Advance / Fluent in English proficiency is mandatory.
- University bachelor's in food, process, mechanical or electrical engineering.
- 3-5 years' experience in Installations, maintenance and/or repair work.
- Experience in electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance is strongly desired.
- Experience in PLC - Programming (either on Siemens or Allen Bradley platform).
- Experience from the Food Industry and understanding of fluids dynamics and heat transfer it is a plus.
- Proficient using MS Office software.
- Passion to be a team player and ability to work across boundaries.
- Fast learning abilities.
- Structured thinking and quick problem solving.
- You like to work both independently as well as with others.
- Great technical interest.
- Work sometimes under stressful situations.
- Willing to travel 150 to 200 days per year.
