In 2013 Magnacura Pharma Inc was formed in Mauritius as a trading hub company to procure primarily pharmaceutical products for the Sub-Saharan Africa markets. The company provides central procurement and logistics services for a variety of healthcare companies in Africa and assist with the complex logistics of shipping consignments into Africa. Recently the company has started supplying product into the local Mauritian market.

Magnacura Pharma Inc is looking to expand the team with an Internal Auditor who will be responsible for the assessment, inspection and review of business processes to ensure that risks are managed, and the business unit is compliant to local and industry legislation.

Education & Skills:
• ACCA/ Internal Audit Degree or Diploma
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of the Mauritian (and other African countries) legislation
• IFRS knowledge
• Core auditing, process and risk management skills

Responsibilities:
• Leads, manages and supervises the execution of internal audit engagements.
• Independently undertakes field audit in various locations across Africa.
• Produces good, clear first drafts of correspondence and reports, ensuring that audit findings and corrective actions are clearly laid out.
• Manages the group reporting and presentations to the Risk and Audit Committee and subsequently to the Board.
• Performs inquiries and testing as needed to identify and resolve vulnerabilities.
• Initiates improvements to the financial control and auditing process.
• Assessing how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and informing management of any issues that need addressing
