The Reserve Bank of Malawi is inviting applications for the under listed positions tenable at its Head Office in Lilongwe, Blantyre and Mzuzu Branches.

SUPERVISOR, PROJECTS AND FACILITIES (1 POSITION)

Reporting to the Manager, Projects and Facilities, the successful candidate will, among other duties, be responsible for:

The Job:
• Providing project management support services;
• Compiling quarterly project performance reports;
• Administering contracts under infrastructure projects and outsourced services;
• Managing service level agreements with various suppliers of equipment, machinery and systems:
• Coordinating inspection of facilities and submission of status reports;
• Formulating yearly maintenance plan and coordinate implementation of the planned activities;
• Vetting of contractors quotations and payment certificates;
• Conducting valuation of contractors works on maintenance projects;
• Identifying anchor tenants and executing tenancy agreements; and
• Coordinating... development / review of policies and guidelines in projects and facilities management.

The Person (s):
• Must possess a Master’s Degree in Project Management or MBA obtained from reputable institutions plus 5 years of relevant experience in the construction field or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/Architecture/Civil Engineering plus 7 years experience in construction field;
• Must be aged between 35 – 40 years.

Must have:
• Knowledge of Project, Risk and Facilities Management;
• Knowledge of standard form of contracts and standard methods of measurements:
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Ethics, Standards and Regulations. The incumbent must be aware of technological advances in building services and systems;
• Interpretation of complex project designs, bills of quantities and budgets;
• Excellent management skills including team building;
• Excellent drafting skills for contracts and requests for proposals;
• Problem solving skills;
• Excellent Negotiation skills;
• Computer skills including knowledge Microsoft project and Design software: and
• Good analytical skills.
