We are looking for a Lead Software Developer with full stack engineering experience, working either in our Madrid offices in a hybrid model, or as a Spain-based remote worker. The role will focus on the design... development, test, and deployment of front-end and back-end components for Lumen’s Edge Computing Platform. The Lead Software Developer understands various automation tools for developing CI/CD pipelines. You will be part of a multinational Agile Development Team responsible for translating business requirements and user interface wireframes into software design and delivery, implementing experiences that allow end business customers to easily manage and utilize Lumen’s Edge digital ecosystem. The Main Responsibilities
Front-end user interface design, development and testing, leveraging Lumen portal frameworks and design systems for building consistent digital products and experiences.Integrate front-end interfaces with back-end systems via API calls.Back-end design, development and testing. Develop reusable software components, writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.Collaborate with and mentor other employees. Comfortable with pair programming; able to conduct code review to ensure overall code quality. Contribute to overall software development lifecycle maturity, leveraging strong DevOps and Agile principles and practices (high quality code and testing, CI/CD).Demonstrate a creative and innovative spirit towards continuous improvement and software delivery excellence.Proactively take ownership of tasks, seeing them through to completion. Comfortable working across time zones with US-based colleagues.What We Look For in a Candidate
Minimum requirementsEnglish proficiency (C1/C2). 5+ years software development experience on the front-end side and familiar with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.Expert knowledge of Core JavaScript, TypeScript, ECMA 6, Flux and WebSockets.Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Mocha, Less, Vue.js and general knowledge of other front-end technologies (for example: Angular, React, etc.)Experience with REST APIs, developing microservices with Spring Boot.Knowledge defining front-end / back-end architecture and guidelines. Experience developing e2e tests and unit tests.Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.Experience with DevOps methodology and tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins.
