An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Learning Disability Team Manager on a fixed term or secondment basis (31.03.2024).
We are looking for a Team Manager who has effective leadership skills, strong clinical expertise within a community setting, who can use these skills to support, guide and lead our wide inter-professional team. You will be working alongside our AHP Team Manager and therefore your role will focus upon the Nursing Teams within the service (Community Locality Nursing, Crisis and Intensive Support, Health Action Team as well as supporting Psychiatry and Psychology colleagues).
We are looking for someone who is progressive and dedicated to the continued improvement and delivery of services for people with learning disabilities.
You will be based within the Doncaster Mental Health and Learning Disability Care Group, working closely with the Service Manager to review the current business activities within the LD Pathway. You will also be the lead in... promoting the service, identifying good practice, and working closely with the team to implement any recommendations.
You will have direct line management responsibilities for an agreed portfolio within the pathway and provide robust management across all areas within the portfolio, as such a professional qualification is an essential requirement for the post.
You will be supported to transition into this role by the existing Community Team Manager who will work alongside you initially. The existing Team Manager will be seconded to another role within the building, therefore support will be available throughout your secondment period should it be required on an informal basis.
The post holder will be based within the Doncaster Mental Health and Learning Disability Care Group working closely with the LD Service Manager to review the current business activities within the LD Pathway. The post holder will also be the lead in promoting the service, identifying good practice and working closely with the team to implement any recommendations.
The post holder will have direct line management responsibilities for an agreed portfolio within the pathway and work closely with the other LD AHP Team Manager and Service Clinical Leads to provide robust management across all teams within the portfolio, as such a professional qualification is an essential requirement for the post i.e. Qualified Nurse, Allied Health Professional. The post may also involve supporting the Registered Home Manager for Danescourt Residential Home and deputising in absence of colleagues.
