Senior Principal Practice Lead - Heritage NSW

The RPS Heritage team has a diverse work portfolio in NSW and across Australia, offering comprehensive Aboriginal, historical and built heritage management services. The Heritage team works collaboratively with other service lines and business units to deliver practical and innovative heritage management solutions which incorporate the latest digital technologies and non-invasive investigative methods.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager, NSW you will play a key role in contributing to and identifying opportunities for the Heritage team to grow and expand capabilities. You will also contribute to the NSW Heritage team by providing high quality technical and client management skills.
You will work closely with the Regional General Manager NSW to provide operational support and functional reporting in order to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the NSW heritage team.
ABOUT YOU
You will hold Tertiary qualifications in Archaeology... Heritage Management or a similar discipline with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience developing and delivering heritage management solutions.
You will also have:
Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of Commonwealth and State Indigenous and historical heritage legislative frameworks.
Expertise in consulting with Indigenous communities, heritage interest groups and government representatives.
Demonstrated experience managing teams and project portfolios, comprehensive project management experience, including invoicing and budget administration. Experience scoping, managing and delivering a diverse range of heritage projects
Ability to identify new opportunities, nurture existing client relationships and contribute to growth of business
Ability to deliver presentations at conferences and similar public forum/events to promote the heritage capability of RPS and our profile
Strong knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth and State heritage legislative frameworks.
Experience in project management and implementing logistically challenging heritage works.
Ability to bring together diverse disciplines in order to deliver superior heritage outcomes.
Experience in the preparation and technical review of detailed reports as required by the relevant legislation, regulation and guidelines; preparation and submission of permits, conducting archaeological field surveys, excavation and salvage.
Willingness to travel if required, including field work in distant or remote areas
