What will you be doing?

As a Music and Movement Instructor, you will ensure that all children are engaged, motivated and having fun while laying the groundwork for them to explore the world of music. Responsibilities include:

• Developing a music curriculum and preparing lessons plans.
• Teaching fundamentals of music: tempo, rhythm, pitch, etc. through various methods and activities.
• Communicating with diverse groups of children and other staff.
• Engaging, encouraging, and motivating children to reach their goals.
• Conducting group lessons for children aged 18 months – 4 years.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 1 year experience teaching children ages 18 months – 4 years
• Experience in music education an asset
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
