The H.Hovnanian Family Foundation is looking for a Content Writer for the Foundation and its 4 structures: Birthright Armenia, Armenian Volunteer Corps, Repat Armenia and HIKE Armenia. In collaboration with the Head of Communications and the entire team, the Content Writer will produce creative writing, informational articles, newsletters, stories, blog posts, and any other relevant content that fits the global content strategy of each NGO. The incumbent will have to constantly engage with volunteers, repats, expats, hikers, to come up with ideas of content (we have so many stories to tell). We are looking for a team player who is familiar with producing written content, enthusiastic about our missions, and able to create quality writing that engages our audience and builds brand awareness.

Responsibilities include:
• Develop written content for multiple platforms, such as our websites (it can be for other websites such as The Armenian Weekly in case of collaboration), email... marketing (Mailchimp or other), video descriptions, and blogs
• Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
• Research related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
• Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
• Coordinate with the graphic designer to illustrate articles
• Identify NGOs’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• With the support of the SMM Manager, decide on content to be promoted on social media
• With the support of the SMM Manager, engage in regular and meaningful interaction with stakeholders to identify stories to highlight
• With the help of the Websites Manager, use SEO in writing to update website content
• Monthly reports: Work with the team to analyze data on a monthly basis to determine whether content worked the best
• Work constantly with the Comms team to analyze the results of our efforts
• Support the PR Manager if creative written content is needed

Requirements:
• University undergraduate degree
• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with web publications
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English, another language appreciated
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Organized and able to meet deadlines
• Ability to deal professionally, effectively and cooperatively with stakeholders
• Demonstrate problem solving, interpersonal, good judgment, and teamwork skills
• Demonstrate flexibility and have a creative mind
