KPP are partnered with a large global bank who are searching for a proven Financial Markets Internal Audit Manager to join their growing Sydney based team.

As the successful candidate, you will partner closely with the sales, trading and corporate lending teams to execute the audit plan, end to end, within a complex and highly sophisticated portfolio of financial markets business lines and their products (IR, FX, Commodities, Carbon etc.)

By bringing SME level Audit methodology experience to the team, the chosen candidate will provide consultation, remediation and improvements to the financial markets teams around processes, policy and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
• To succeed in this position, your focus will be in developing strong relationships with business lines across the institutional lending arm of the bank and their specialised trading product teams.
• Support the overarching audit plan and give expert opinion for strategic initiatives to uplift the financial... markets business’s procedures, processes and frameworks.
• Identify and deliver robust risk and controls testing for corporate lending and financial markets portfolios.
• Present and produce action plans for your stakeholders, based on your findings for gaps in their processes.
• Executing audit field work by testing the design of controls.

Key Requirements:
• Experience within financial services and financial markets audit is essential.
• The candidate will be able to independent scrutinise and consult effectively across the abstract financial markets products business lines.
• A relevant degree, in a finance related field is desirable. As is a professional certification such as CPA or ICAA.
• A reasonable competency of data analytics tools and the ability to effectively advise your business line leaders across financial markets by using such tools is desirable.
• The chosen candidate must be an effective relationship builder.
• A sound knowledge of financial markets products and their volatility is critical.
