Located in a modern CBD office, our client is seeking an External Auditor to join the Corporate Services team for a long term contract. This is a great opportunity for a driven individual that wants to develop its audit skills.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinating the day-to-day running and project management of lower risk audits
• Identifying significant audit matters and contributing to their resolution, including client reporting
• Supporting the supervision, direction and review of the team's working papers and the work of experts to ensure consistent quality, application of effective audit methodology and compliance with Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards
• Contributing to the delivery of the program of work including scoping, delivery and reporting on the engagement, and supporting resourcing and budgeting

The Successful Applicant

We are looking forward to hear from candidates coming from various... backgrounds. Desirable skills and attributes include:
• Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in the application of audit and assurance methodologies, and accounting policy and practices
• Well developed written and oral communication skills including strong interpersonal, and relationship management skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• The ability to demonstrate professional scepticism and sound judgement
• well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and manage audit, assurance and accounting issues appropriately
• Appropriate Tertiary qualifications e.g. Commerce or Accounting.
• CA/CPA membership or working towards
