PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The IT Risk Analyst is responsible for providing advisory services related to risk assessment- and management, threat identification and mitigation, internal controls, cyber security, related standards and implementing corrective actions to protect and strengthen The Co-op group’s assets, controls and processes, in order to ensure a secure and resilient IT landscape for its clients, internal business functions and extended supply chain.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology or related technical degree and/or relevant industry certification such as CompTIA Security +, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Minimum of 3-5 years IT Security related business experience with responsibility in terms of the following:
• identify key risks and controls in various business processes & auditing controls
• for... each step of the Software Development Life Cycle, managed at least 3 software audit projects, & conducting complex cyber security & threat analysis
• leading assessment conversations to evaluate controls, security & execute audit procedures

Competencies and Skills:
• Advanced computer skills & strong knowledge of key technology concepts with good business acumen
• Staying abreast of innovative business & technology trends in IT security, risk, regulatory concerns & compliance
• Proven experience in risk management on IT security related processes & financial systems
• Experience in implementing and tracking mitigation efforts with appropriate solutions/controls
• Development, tracking, reporting and resolution on and of key risk indicators
• Experience in the building of a comprehensive security program including compilation, analysis, application and maintenance of IT security policies and guidelines including disaster recovery plans and procedures
• Strong written & verbal communication skills to effectively educate, advertise and communicate to all stakeholders in order to establish an environment that fosters a risk-conscious and security aware culture at all levels of the organization
• Ability to influence & drive conversations with varied teams to ensure compliance with security controls
• Ability to prioritize under pressure and within strict timeframes
• Excellent quantitative, analytical & critical thinking skills along with the ability to independently solve problems with data
