We are currently looking for a Special Education Teacher (Grades 6-8). We are seeking dedicated and experienced individuals committed to improving outcomes for struggling students. Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with case managers and teachers to create a supportive learning environment for students with disabilities
• Collect data on student behavior, academic progress, and IEP objectives
• Assist teachers in implementing and supporting instruction and assessment practices for a diverse group of students with IEPs
• Help with the daily operations and related responsibilities of assigned class(es)
• Engage in continuous professional development and shared learning with other staff
• Work collaboratively with a diverse group of school colleagues, parents, and community members to support and implement the goals of the school
• Participate fully in faculty and school-related meetings
• Work flexible hours as needed

Requirements:
• Minimum of a high school diploma
• Completion of a teacher preparation program and/or post-secondary degree in education or related field and/or Georgia teacher certification preferred
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school-aged students
• Experience supporting students with disabilities preferred
• Ability to collaborate well with other teachers
• Demonstrated effectiveness in working with diverse groups of students, teachers, and families
