The Network Administrator is a critical and highly visible leadership position within our company and will have overall responsibility for maintaining network systems, servers, and IT security within our environment. This position... reports to the Vice President of Information Technology, and will be responsible for multiple areas of expertise which include: Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and other IP Devices; Server and SAN configuration; IT Security; LAN and WAN monitoring and configuration; etc. The position also will act as a mentor and point of escalation for IT Technicians on staff, and work with end users to address and resolve issues.

This position is full time Monday – Friday plus ability to provide after-hours or weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

You will:
• Design, Implement, and Maintain computer networks and systems including routers, switches, firewalls, Wifi, VPNs, and other physical systems.
• Install and configure network equipment.
• Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
• Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.
• Update and responsible for virus protection and endpoint security software to keep data and communications protected.
• Monitor both network and computer systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
• Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up.
• Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and grooming. Keep desks and IT area neat and orderly.
• Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

• Work with all personnel to meet company and user needs.

Qualifications

You have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Network Administration role
• Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Previous experience with Server Management and Monitoring tools, including VMWare, required
• Previous experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Windows Server 2016 and 2019, required
• Previous experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills required, including excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Stable work history required.
• Must be local to Middle Tennessee.
