Senior Fabrication QC Inspector Job ID 4647 ACCOUNTABILITIES Liaise with other entities on QA QC issues as required Ensure safety and timely completion of material inspection Ensure relevant NOC rules specifications and procedures are followed in the execution of tasks Carry out QC inspection at fabrication contractors facilities Ensure NOC specifications and procedures are followed in the execution of projects Execute the Onshore fabrication QC inspection by surveillance on site collecting the relevant objective evidence as required monitor that all fabrication activities operations are executed in accordance with all relevant Codes of Practices and Company procedures practices JOB DIMENSIONS Managed positions None Typically at the fabrication shops yards and occasional visits to warehouse and main office Liaise with other sections of E amp C Offshore activities as and when required Proactively liaise with fabricators for QA QC intervention ACTIVITIES Ensure and promote Safety by... implementing NOC HSE rules and specifications Contribute in promoting safety culture by reporting safety observations Ensure implementation of fabricators Quality Management System using applicable plans and procedures Monitor necessary materials received are traceable with test certificates fabricator has updated drawings and proper lifting equipment as well as welding equipment are available on site Monitor compilation of Quality Control Reports issued during fabrication and any other document certifying the quality of the works in Quality Dossier with traceability of documents including indexing Proactively liaise with construction on Quality related activities and act as the Company representative in the yard Attend and participate in Welding Procedure Welders Qualification Tests Monitor that the work is performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the contract specifications Liaise with Quality Lead in case of non-compliance and variances Provide inputs in the event of any deviation requested by the contractor Ensure the quality assurance record books are properly documented and maintained by the contractor Assess any deviations from approved quality control procedures or requirements requested by the contractor and make appropriate recommendation to the Quality Lead Sign off Quality Control records and release the fabricated items upon ensuring conformity to applicable requirements Interface and coordinate as necessary with relevant entities Proactively report to Quality Lead regularly and when decisions impacting fabrication activities needs to be taken Proactively identify any potential Quality failures and report to Quality Lead Contribute to Vendor Performance evaluation by providing relevant statistics Carry out any other relevant duties or tasks that may be assigned by reporting line Attend monthly quality meetings SQM s as required CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT Complex operational interfaces with other entities of NOC in a major and large Brownfield offshore environment Mature installations with significant integrity issues QUALIFICATIONS amp EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Any Graduate Degree diploma in Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in Oil amp Gas industry projects QA QC roles balanced between QA and QC disciplines should possess leadership skills and proactively identify and report potential non-conformities Must be familiar and at ease with ASME API AWS ASTM NACE and have a minimum of level II certificate in RT UT MT PT good knowledge in PWHT hold valid CSWIP 3 1 welding amp BGAS Grade 2 or equivalent Painting certification with proficiency in English language
