About the Role
The candidate will be responsible for the validation and acoustic testing of innovative audio feature technologies of Harman’s Car Audio Division. He/she will support the Audio Feature Technology Teams in the integration, evaluation, and measurement of new audio algorithms both in the vehicle and in the listening room.

Your Team
The Audio FeatureTechnology & Innovation Team of Harman’s Car Audio Division is located in Germany, Mexico and US. The group is responsible for driving and developing class leading audio feature technologies that enrich the audio feature portfolio.

Job responsibilities
Own the validation of audio DSP algorithms and software in the vehicle, listening room and on the bench
Drive the evaluation and debugging of audio technologies in development
Define & optimize test criteria in collaboration with development team
Design of efficient test cases based on requirements
Create test documentation & reports
Benchmarking of new audio algorithms regarding MIPS/MEM measuring on the reference platform
Work with subject matter experts in terms of subjective testing of algorithms and collect feedback as an input for updating validation tests
Triage and analyze test results and incoming feedback to identify areas for improvement

Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Audio/Acoustics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Good knowledge in the following areas: test planning, test execution, test evaluation, product verification and validation
Experience in objective and subjective benchmarking of audio algorithms
Knowledge in acoustics, psychoacoustics, sound quality, sound field measurement and equalization, and related fields
Preferred hands-on experience with programming languages like Python, VB.NET related to automation script development
Nice to know C#, C++, Matlab
Experience in reviewing work products and ensure the quality of deliverables
Preferred exposure to agile development life cycle
Preferred to have knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins/Bamboo or similar kind of tools) to integrate in CI/CD.
Experience working in the automotive industry or professional or consumer audio industry
Familiar with ASPICE process
