Position General Objective:

Responsible for testing parts and sub-systems to confirm meeting internal / external requirements.

Scope of job:

Responsible for developing DVP&R and obtaining customer approval. Working with Product Development Team to define part needs for testing, submit test requests, review test results with internal / external test technician and provide recommendations as necessary to enable requirements to be met.

Position Requirements
• Comprehend customer validation requirements and current industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Develop validation plans based on customer provided specifications. Validation plans to include material, performance, and safety testing requirements and required fixturing.
• Meet with customers to review validation plans to ensure completeness and to obtain approvals to facilitate PPAP.
• Establish and maintain effective communications (written & verbal) among customer, internal groups, and... external test facilities.
• Issue purchase requisitions (PR) for external testing; maintain Excel sheets with expenses to support budget.
• Execute validation plans - schedule and coordinate tests, monitoring compliance with all required timing.
• Participate in component/module testing at test sites.
• Perform test setup, sample preparation and Interiors Validation Testing, as required.
• Establish test procedures, where required.
• Provide input to optimizing testing requirements.
• Provide input and oversight to Tier II supplier testing to ensure correctness and validity of results, as required.
• Participate in design reviews and product development team (PDT) meetings.
• Ability to use lab equipment to support Interiors validation testing.
• Experience in working with suppliers and customers

• English Advanced
• 2+ years of validation engineering/testing experience in automotive industry. Education Requirement BSME degree or equivalent experience in Validation, and/or Engineering
