The Editorial Assistant is an entry-level position responsible for executing the daily tasks of the journal(s) and/or projects assigned to them in accordance with client expectations as overseen by the Client Manager and/or Senior Managing Editor.
How you will make an impact:
• Learns the overall peer review process from submission to acceptance.
• Learns the standard capacities of the peer review submission system to perform the basic tasks associated with moving manuscripts through the peer review queues.
• Provides support to Managing Editor, Senior Managing Editor, and/or Client Manager through queue management tasks, email based tasks, or special projects.
• Assists with projects as needed by the other members of the editorial division.
• Meets established productivity goals and deadlines.
• Upholds high standards of professionalism and courtesy when working with colleagues and clients as outlined in the J&J Employee Handbook. Ensures the work environment is free of non-work-related distractions and provides the same environment for co-workers.

• Can utilize strong time management skills to effectively manage a number of varied tasks and timelines.
• Has strong critical thinking and decision making skills.

• Prioritizes customer service through problem solving, knowledgeable support, and professional and helpful communication at all times.
• Bachelors degree required.

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The target base pay range for this position is $29,000 to $39,000. This range represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however, the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skills, and competencies.
