Role - Introduction and context

Our client, based near Reading, has established a significant 4-year Programme to modernise and transform functional support activities away from legacy workforce intensive, geographically limited, low/no technology approaches and processes.

The Programme has been tasked with delivering capabilities that will exploit the opportunities offered by digital capabilities in a coherent, cost-effective way. It will contribute to the coherent introduction of data management, analytics and associated decision-making support for Top Line Budget activity and align with wider requirements as they emerge.

The Programme is seeking a full time Quality Manager:

Role Objectives

• Contribute to the improvement of the quality of Programme delivery.

• Provide independent... assurance of the quality of Programme delivery.

• Give timely and accurate information about relevant risks and issues to the Programme delivery.

• Improve their colleagues’ level of knowledge and understanding of the policies, standards, processes, and quality-related matters related to the Programme.

Role Tasks

The Quality Manager will undertake the following activities:

• Drive quality, process development and improvement initiatives across the Programme

• Create materials that enable compliance checking and management auditing.

• Ensure the creation of compliant quality plans, improvement plans and improvement actions.

• Ensure that controls are built into processes and that they are structured to enable compliance checking.

• Ensure reliable reporting of quality matters.

• Ensure that data that is captured for quality purposes is practically used and that the outcome of that use is communicated to its providers.

• Build analytic models for specific problems.

• Obtain and provide process improvement suggestions.

• Ensure that the Programme has the advice and training that it needs to ensure the highest quality of compliance and performance.

• Work as a solo auditor.

• Ensure adequate audit coverage and that a corrective action / preventive action process is applied. Act as an escalation point for unresolved non-conformances.

• Lead management audits and participate in senior management audits.
