Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer / Design & Development is required to join a growing manufacturer of Automation Equipment and Robotics in the Midlands

Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer / Design & Development will design bespoke automated machines, manufacturing systems and ‘Off the Shelf’ Configurable robotic solutions.

Package

£40 - £45k depending on experience

Working hours are 37.5 hrs

Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer / Design & Development Role:

Design machines and systems from the start to the finish stage to meet the specifications outlined in the customer order.

In collaboration with the Project Leader, you be involved in the planning, organisation, and management of customer meetings.

Specifying and competitively obtaining quotations for the purchase of tooling and purchased items (both hands-on and through the Purchasing Engineer) in order to begin the build process on time and within budget.

Problem-solving... and initiating corrective actions as needed to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.

Projects can vary in size from £50k up to £2m.

Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer / Design & Development Requirements:

Ideally you will have 5 years plus in a similar position

Experienced in 2D AutoCad and Inventor 3D CAD software in conjunction with Autodesk Vault.

Must come from an Automation background or previous experience in factory automation or machine building
