£55,000 - £60,000

Mon-Fri – 8.30am-5.30pm

We are delighted to be working with a Scientific glassware and laboratory instrument manufacture with over 50 years’ experience.

This is an extremely exciting role involving the development of the market leading chemistry equipment and supporting continuous improvement of existing products. This will be working within a fast-paced environment in the R&D team reporting to the R&D manager.

You as Electromechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
• Mechanical Design – Designing products at components and system level
• Electromechanical Design
• Using Solidworks 3D CAD and Solidworks PDM
• Managing R&D NPD Projects
• Managing & Delivering product improvement projects
• Assisting other departments when necessary

Key Skills and Relevant Experience:
• A Degree in... Design Engineering or a relevant subject
• 5+ Years’ experience within industrial or R&D environment
• Product Lifestyle & Continuous improvement
• Design Experience inclusive of electronic system components (E.G. Motors, PCB’s etc)
• Design Techniques & solutions – Failure mode effects analysis
• Knowledge in manufacturing processes and materials
• Experience sourcing materials and suppliers
