We are hiring a Sales Director to develop and execute our sales strategy in Poland. You will be accountable for the complete Steelcase book of business in Poland and for achieving the discounted sales targets across all categories. You will leverage your communication and planning skills to create market growth objectives and build a sales & distribution strategy. You will be responsible for guiding the best allocation of all Steelcase resources (to assigned accounts, influencers, dealers) and focus on getting the most out of your sales team and dealers through active coaching, development, and engagement. What You Will Be Doing: Sales Leadership Leads a team of Dealer Business Managers, Business Development Managers, Strategic Account Managers and/or sales roles for special product categories/influencers. Provides leadership, accountability, and direction for Steelcase sales activities and dealership performance Analyzes and synthesizes market information, assesses... distribution strengths and weaknesses, and determines sales targets, market share ambitions, and profitability goals. Develops and executes a plan that enables sales-people and dealers to meet their quarterly and annual sales targets, through win-rate improvement and pipeline development (business development) actions Collaborates and communicates on product development, marketing, customer service, and operations needs for the Polish market. Determines objectives, provides developmental guidance and selects candidates to fill vacancies. Manages performance and individual accountability using data driven metrics. Provides a consistent and rigorous approach to the development & execution of thorough account and opportunity strategy, through regular alignment, review and coaching for accountability Appropriately develops and optimally deploys Steelcase sales resources in strategy development and execution Sets pricing strategy for the region and its strategic opportunities Sales Impact Directly contributes to early-stage win-rate improvement and pipeline development (business development) actions, by: Identifying, building, and maintaining key business relationships with principals (c-level, leadership etc..) of dealerships, targeted accounts & influencers Establishing brand awareness and demonstrating an ability to increase Steelcase mindshare with key audiences (industry-relevant speaking engagements, networking events, roundtables etc) Steps into sales process and has a measurable, direct and personal impact to help close business Funnel Management Owns and manages the complete book of business in Poland, by targeting and ensuring a diversified customer & business mix and a systematic and sustainable pipeline development approach Profit & Loss (P&L) management responsibilities, with the support of Finance & OPEX Business Partners Monitors the sales funnel at all stages of account and opportunity engagement Reviews, approves, and monitors progress on strategic account & opportunity plans Reviews and evaluates dealer and account sales forecasts Implements approved sales and marketing programs Maintains regular contact with key internal and external audiences, sufficient to support a negotiation and conflict resolution role when called upon. Resolves conflicts within the distribution channel. Your Future Team: You will be joining (and leading) an existing team of motivated and driven salespeople in Poland, with the mandate to develop the team in conjunction with the defined sales strategy. You will also be part of the leadership team of the CENE region (Central, Eastern & Northern Europe). This distributed team is very independent but knows how to work together as a strong team. You’ll be joining a culture of strong trust and collaboration. Ability to lead a business development sales team Knowledge of local market/region Broad and comprehensive understanding of Steelcase business, strategy and sales philosophy. Preferred Qualifications: BS/BA degree 10+ years relevant work experience, including prior management experience In-depth understanding of the contract furniture industry.
