Role Overview:
In the role of Engineering Manager, Optics Manufacturing you will be responsible for technical oversight of manufacturing our core optical module. You will drive failure analysis of component-level and assembly failures, and well as reviewing and analyzing test data. The candidate who fills this role will need a broad background spanning optics(including active alignment), photonics, and electronics.
What you'll do:

• Become familiar with all aspects of our core optical module –optical design, optical active alignment, photonics packaging, assembly processes and electrical testing
• Drive... failure analysis and corrective action of multi-disciplinary problems which may occur because of component quality, process deviations, or design gaps.
• Help improve yield and reliability, supporting the module through NPI phases and transitioning to operations team for mass production.
• Review module and manufacturing test data to recommend spec changes or temporary waivers with an understanding of the product-level impact.
• Ability to be on-site at Chonburi, Thailand factory

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or mechanical engineering.
• 5 years of experience working on design or manufacturing of devices for telecom, lidar, or cameras including optics, photonics, and electronics.
• Experience with optical active alignment equipment and algorithm development
• Familiarity with Matlab, and Python or similar language.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis software like JMP or Minitab.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve result independently and work well with others on-site
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present to management

Nice to have:

• Post-graduate degree or research with a focus in optics, photonics, or sensors.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 5% based on business needs
