Job Responsibilities: 1) Advise management, implement, monitor and review, office and project site activities related to safety and health requirements and ensure compliance with relevant authorities requirements at all times, including local legislations, guidelines, code of practices and legal requirements. 2) Establish Project Safety Plan and safety procedures. 3) To establish and maintain contingency plans, Hirarc, including fire prevention and procedures for controlling hazard... 4) Secretary to the safety and health committee, if any, as specified under Sub Regulation 6(2) of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996, and perform all functions of a secretary as specified in that Regulation 5) Implementing and maintaining safety at project sites by performing safety activities and to evaluate and control safety hazards in an effective and efficient manner. 6) Conduct tool box meetings on a regular basis to subcontractors’ workers at site. 7) Coordinate with subcontractors supervisors (safety supervisor or appointed personnel) in the implementation of safety and health at site. 8) Conduct inspection and audit at site, compile and maintain records. 9) Maintains instruments used for safety, health & environmental monitoring 10) Enforce use of Safety Equipment. 11) Liaise with relevant authorities (JKKP, Kesihatan, CIDB, Bomba, etc.) to resolve any site issue arising and close all notices promptly. 12) Preparation of safety and health reports on a monthly basis. 13) Investigate and prepare accident reports 14) Identifies potential causes for accidents and recommends changes in policies and procedures to prevent accidents, illness and environmental pollution. 15) Identify continual improvements in safety & health at the project sites. 16) Updating of legal and other requirements. 17) Assist in Internal Audit for ISO 9001 in external audit by certification body. 18) Any other duties as directed by the management.
