An opportunity has arisen with the Corporate Partners Team for a Corporate Partner Underwriter. The role would be based at our Galway office.
The Corporate Partner Team currently provides support for a number of large Partnerships in the Republic of Ireland. The Partner function is primarily focused on providing operational support for our Partners through a period of growth and meeting growing regulatory and Group reporting demands.
This function plays a key role with the maintenance and the enhancement of the Partnership relationship, due to ongoing contact with the Partners on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will manage and resolve underwriting queries from Aviva Corporate Partners and the Aviva Contact Centre within designated underwriting Licence & in line with Aviva underwriting policy and risk... appetite. This is via telephone and Email and must be in line with agreed Service Level Agreements with the relevant Partner. You will also perform monthly underwriting scrutiny for renewals for designated Partners.
You will also
Attend monthly Operational Meetings with designated Corporate Partners and manage allocated Actions to resolution.
Act as point of referral for underwriting queries for other team members
Manage Ad hoc business requests for information and the implementation of business process change, to enhance Partner propositions.
Liaise with Marketing & Legal / Compliance to obtain sign off for all new Partner promotions and Initiatives.
Manage the resolution of Financial Service Ombudsman cases and the resolution of account queries.
Manage resolution of issues raised by Partners, Sales, Galway Contact Centre, Product, Pricing, Claims, Finance, IT, Marketing etc.
Ongoing monitoring of the CRIS (Complaints system) Complaints file and generate report as contractually required to our Partners
Skills and experience we're looking for:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Personal Lines underwriting role preferably in Motor & Home
APA qualification at a minimum
A strong understanding of the processes that support Partnership propositions.
Strong relationship skills and demonstrable experience of dealing with Corporate Partners or Insurance Brokers
Strong underwriting decision making skills
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements to support Partner propositions.
An understanding of IT systems & processes that have been delivered to support Partner propositions
Good Microsoft Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Flexibility and the ability to multitask
