Provide design engineering support for catalog, newly developed, and OEM products. Responsible for all engineering aspects of products assigned. Contribute toward cost, quality, and productivity improvements working with global and locally based cross-functional teams. Provide engineering support to the manufacturing cells.
• Manage engineering sustaining, NPD, Custom projects as assigned for improving product cost, quality, and delivery;
• Responsible for quality improvements and cost reductions of assigned products through VA/VE and other PCIS activities, sharing responsibility meeting departmental and cross-functional cost reduction goals;
• Submit and conduct validation tests to ensure products meet safety, life and performance requirements;
• Address and resolve customer problems related to product design;
• Provide engineering support for product performance and design issues within in the production cells;
• Review products to insure they meet performance expectations during... engineering changes;
• Maintain positive working relationship with cross-functional teams including marketing, project management, sourcing, purchasing, quality, and operations;
• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, customers, distributors, and sales personnel;
• Work with operators and other engineers on shift to troubleshoot defect/contamination sources and to determine proper repair techniques;
• Handle customer escalations, conduct remote sessions, troubleshoot production issues, and reproduce customer issues in laboratory;
• Interact with customers, marketing, and sales as required to capture user needs and look for opportunities to improve products;
• Investigate product complaints from customer sites, perform root cause analysis of failures, and propose remediation in a timely fashion;
• Create strategy for the verification of the corrective designs and participate in verification activities;
• Source parts as required, manage vendor issues as needed with Operations & Supply chain teams;
• Interact with customers, marketing, and sales as required to capture user needs and look for opportunities to improve products;
• Contribute to risk management content such as FMEA, PFMEA and hazard analysis;
• Perform all duties in compliance with the quality management system; actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the QMS;
• Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally;
• Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures;
• Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times;
