Job description
IQ-EQ is going through an unprecedented level of digital, and broader operational transformation as it seeks to support realisation of its strategic ambitions. We have an exciting opportunity where you’ll need to combine strategic nous with creative muscle and make an impact through designing and implementing a global transformation communication strategy to support our transformation journey with Group Operations. As the Change Communications Manager, you will work closely with globally dispersed cross-functional teams influencing decision-making, managing a diverse network of stakeholders, and leading or supporting others with the development and delivery of high-quality communications strategies, campaign plans and creative content - to capture people’s attention and inspire them to change their behaviours.
You will be responsible for supporting 4,000 colleagues through a significant change programme which will require detailed, well thought through, communication... strategy, planning and execution including production of materials. This role will work closely with the Transformation Delivery, and broader Group Operations functions as well as HR teams in several jurisdictions in identifying and delivering key change communications and other brand interventions to ensure we provide colleagues with the information they need to help them understand IQ-EQ’s transformation journey.
This role will ensure our communications are aligned to the change activities associated with our global transformation roadmap and agenda. You will be looking to establish a network of communication and will continuously build collaboration to facilitate smooth interfaces between all groups involved in transformation messaging and delivery. Some of the key deliverables of this role will be:
• Creating, planning and delivering a global transformation communications strategy
• Mapping of key messaging for targeted audiences/personas at various stages of the transformation agenda
• Agreeing narratives
• Preparing and producing proactive and reactive communications
• Preparing and steering leadership led communications
Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)
• Shape a communications strategy that is aligned to key changes/milestone outcomes of IQ-EQ’s transformation roadmap
• Identify and agree a transformation narrative to support the communications strategy
• Ensure commitments to transformation principles are embedded in communications and engagement practices
• Work with workstream leads/project teams to understand the level of change taking place that will impact day to day delivery, ensuring a joined up and coordinated approach
• Work with the project/product teams to define/co-deliver the communications strategy throughout for the duration of IQ-EQ’s transformation journey
• Act as communications business partner to a number of key strategic change programmes
• Understand the business challenges and opportunities of each change programme, and translate into impactful communications solutions
• Develop, review, agree (with project teams) and deliver (including the production of all materials) change communications strategies, working in partnership with business stakeholders and the wider Brand & Communications team
• Plan, deliver and produce creative, engaging campaigns in line with agreed strategies for designated programmes, as well as overarching regional communications strategies
• Develop, and enable effective deployment of, comprehensive stakeholder engagement maps and plans
• Ensure customer satisfaction of internal project stakeholders through effective client management, timely delivery of work, and regular reporting
• Develop and deliver high-quality, written content for internal (and, occasionally, external) channels, in support of agreed initiatives, and working with wider Brand and Communications team
• Work with global and regional dimensions (e.g. Operations, HR) to ensure alignment of activities with other regional, segment and global strategies and plans
• Ensure change communications plans are aligned to wider communication deliverables
• Manage and deliver the agreed change communications strategy
• Define a campaign and storytelling arch that supports the change narrative
• Plan and coordinate leadership communications with multiple stakeholders throughout this programme
• Evaluate the impact communication activities are having through targeted insight and use that insight to calibrate future activities
• Work closely with BAU Ops team and HRBPs to ensure they are briefed and aware of ongoing communications and engagement activity to support engagement
• Work closely with HR & Ops teams to understand any risks associated with attrition and factor those into the communication and engagement plans

Qualifications
• Degree-level qualification in strategic communications, public relations, internal communication, or journalism
• Membership of professional body (e.g. CIPR, IOIC)
• Ability to communicate a change narrative through storytelling
• Strong creative design and execution of digital communications assets
Background experience
• A Communications expert with proven experience of developing and implementing communications plans in a complex multi-stakeholder environment
• Significant experience in change or internal communications roles (agency or in-house)
• Proven success in developing and executing change communications strategies and campaign plans
• Evidence of understanding and successful application of change management and / or communication theory
• Familiarity with and use of change communications models
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration, project management, planning and multi-channel delivery experience
• Experience managing different stakeholder relationships, developing cross-cultural networks and tactfully challenging opinions to achieve desired outcomes
• Excellent eye for detail and upholding visual and verbal identity
• High levels of self-motivation and personal accountability, bringing enthusiasm and energy to the team and peer group
• Agency or contractor experience of communications within financial services is a plus
• Experience of picking up projects and familiarising self with ways of working, policies, and operating models quickly
Maintain confidentiality and recognising sensitive issues and handling accordingly
Languages required
Fluent in English, French is a plus
