Who we are looking for...

As a QA Automation Engineer for a leading investment manager you will be supporting multiple projects by collaborating with others to understand business requirements, developing test plans, creating and implementing manual and automated tests and ensuring that our products are high-quality and functioning properly.

What you will be responsible for

As QA Automation / Test Engineer you will be:
• Test planning, designing, data mapping, defect creation and QA metricizing (KPI measurement, reports creation)
• Extensively testing (on an SDET/QA level) including full-stack testing, manual testing (functional, usability, UAT), database testing (Sybase) and automated testing (integration, regression)
• Effectively prioritizing by providing QA support for multiple projects
• Innovatively coming up with interesting test scenarios and applying appropriate methods to any given test scenario (gap/comparative analysis)
• Effectively communicating (both verbal and written) to provide candid feedback and explain complex issues in a way that is easy to understand
• Continuously improving and collaborating across functions, with different subject matter experts

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role
• Experience in at least two modern high-level programming languages (Java and JavaScript (ReactJS specifically))
• Accustomed to using automated testing tools and techniques (Appium, Selenium, Cucumber, API Testing, Maven, CI/CD)
• Experience in code coverage techniques (JaCoCo, Cobertura, Parasoft JTest)
• Experience in scripting (UNIX, JUnit)
• Experience and expertise within Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and remaining focused on details in an environment where priorities can frequently shift

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience working in the Capital Markets domain with a concentration in asset management and investment banking
• Fast learner who can come up to speed very quickly and can thrive with minimal guidance and supervision (someone who is highly proactive, seeks knowledge and has passion for QA and technology)
• Basic knowledge of Visual Studio/C++
• Experience in JMS as well as MQ
