As part of our recruitment expansion programme, we are looking to recruit a Warehouse and Logistics Manager who will be responsible for the Management and development of all onsite and off-site warehousing and all activities associated with the logistics of scheduling and delivery of our products both internally and externally.

Spicers is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of black, green & speciality tea and fruit & herbal infusions. The company has 2 sites, Head Office in Ferndown, Dorset and a large manufacturing plant in Newcastle to support its blending expertise with the facilities to produce high volume bespoke tea blends. Spicers is now the chosen tea supplier of some of the largest UK supermarkets at the same time offering a broad portfolio of well-known branded teas.

Key responsibilities include:
• Work closely with commercial, production, purchasing, suppliers, and customers to improve operational efficiency, reduce... costs, and develop effective long-term working relationships.
• Drive improvements in factory and logistics efficiencies through optimal management of delivery timetables
• Control finished goods stock levels within agreed parameters, ensuring that sufficient stocks are stored appropriate to operate a FIFO system.
• Control all packaging materials stock levels within agreed parameters, ensuring that sufficient stocks are stored appropriate to operate a FIFO system ensuring all material movements are transacted correctly on the appropriate systems.
• Keep communication flow with Production and Customer Service teams through meetings and other communication channels, ensuring that all departments involved are aware of any warehousing and logistics concerns that may affect customer delivery.
• Take control of stock on site, through effective internal management of transactions and scheduling of agreed stock takes in collaboration with the Manufacturing Manager.

Job specifications include:

· Warehouse and Logistics experience, ideally within a grocery manufacturing business (UK FMCG)

· Team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

· Track record of working collaboratively with other managers and departments

Excellent track record in leading and inspiring teams

· Customer interface experience and collaborative working style to achieve best in class service levels and customer satisfaction.

· Excellent communication, system and standards driven with a high attention to detail and be able to analyse systems/procedures and recommend improvements to maximise productivity.
