Our client, the City of Calgary requires a Senior Project Manager for 8 months with possible extension to work remotely MST Hours

Description:

Client requires a Senior Project Manager to implement technology projects which may include external procurement, in house development and/or Cloud solutions. This individual must clearly be able to demonstrate team leadership, change leadership, political acumen, influencing, planning, and organizing skills. Ability to adapt and align performance for success and see the 'big picture' whilst maintaining awareness of the smaller details. While Remote work is acceptable for majority of the time, should there be a need, the ICT worker is required to be on site.

Essential

1. Over Ten (10) years' IT project management experience planning and implementing Commercial off the shelf Products (COTS), in house developed solutions and /or cloud solutions (the majority of this experience should have been practiced in accordance with the generally... recognized good practices identified in PMI’s PMBOK; Guide, in recent years).
2. Over Ten (10) years' experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary project teams consisting of internal staff from IT and clients, contractors, and vendors.

Desired

1. Experience with project managements tools, such as MS project professional
2. Well-developed communication skills including oral, written and facilitation skills
3. Experience presenting to executive leadership
4. Formal training and/or certification in project management (e.g., PMI Project Management Professional) is an asset.
5. Previous work experience in the public sector or large organizations
