Naval Data Architect

As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We're looking for an experienced data architect who understands data and data management from an enterprise architecture perspective. Using your knowledge, you'll translate business-oriented information requirements into technical data management solutions by developing and implementing enterprise data strategies for the management and sharing of data that enables more effective cross-enterprise and inter-enterprise system interoperability.

As a data architect on our team, you'll use your extensive technical expertise to design data architecture solutions to ensure that enterprise data assets are governed by a comprehensive data management approach. You'll have a deep understanding and expertise in database design, data modeling, data integration, modern data implementations, big data tools, and data exchange standards, and apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. You'll also contribute to development of new principles and concepts.

You Have:
• 2 years of experience as a Data Management professional
• Experience with the pre-dominant methodologies and technologies within the Enterprise Data Management realm
• Experience in systems architecture development, with a focus on cloud-based data architectures
• Experience defining data engineering pipelines, with a focus on establishing secure data connections to a variety of data source types, automated data cleaning and processing, metadata definition, and other data cataloging activities
• Experience with model development for conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Experience developing Project and Strategic plans
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
• Experience working in Data Management programs within the DoD
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture practices and views
• Knowledge of Jupiter or ADVANA, Qlik or Tableau, Collibra, JIRA or Confluence, RStudio, Jupityer Notebooks, DataBricks, and other analytic tools
• Knowledge of DoD Data Security Standards and Policies, including FEDRAMP, RMF, or NIST
• Data Management Certification, including DAMA CDMP or CIMP Certifications

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
