Gaia Talent is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Contaminated Land Scientist to join the client's team in Dublin. As a full-time permanent position, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects with a supportive and collaborative team, and to develop your skills and career within the company.

About the company:
In this role, you will provide technical support to the team on a range of projects, including EIAR, GQRA/DQRA, and waste management. You will be responsible for completing desk-based studies and site walkover surveys, managing ongoing monitoring programs, undertaking site investigations, and preparing technical reports and other deliverables. You will have the opportunity to travel to client sites across Ireland to undertake fieldwork and work with consultants from the contaminated land team and other disciplines in a... multi-disciplinary consultancy.

What we expect from you:
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude and a demonstrated willingness to learn and keep up to date with changing legislation and industry trends and developments. You will have a degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science/Engineering, with a Master's Degree preferable. Experience in site/fieldwork, including water/soil sampling and knowledge of sampling and monitoring techniques, is advantageous. You will also have knowledge of the principles of risk-based environmental assessments (contaminated land, hydrogeology) and an understanding of environmental legislation, H&S, and industry best practice standards/guidelines. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and GIS packages are a key requirement, and a full clean driving license is required.
