THE CHALLENGES…

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Mechanical Designer is someone who will provide exceptional drafting and design support to our Design Engineers, Project Managers, and customer support team.

Your Responsibilities Will Be ...
• Interpretation of customer requirements and specifications
• Development & detailing of 2D and/or 3D design concepts and proposals, including:
• Development & detailing of new product designs and specifications
• Development & detailing of improvements and enhancements to existing designs
• Creation of layout and general arrangement drawings (system level/site installations/customer approvals)
• Experience in Architecture Design
• Creation of fabrication and assembly drawings and bills of materials (assembly, sub-assembly & component level)
• Provide technical inputs for use in stress calculations
• Preparation of technical and supporting documentation, such as cut sheets and operating instruction manuals (installation, safe use, maintenance)
• Preparation of sales drawings and technical presentation support materials

Requirements
• 2-year Technician or 3-year Technology Diploma in mechanical, structural, civil, or architectural engineering
• 2-4 years of experience in construction-related product design for scaffolding, hoisting, lifting, or elevator industries
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor 2D and 3D
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Strong mathematical and design aptitude
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
• General understanding of metal fabrication, welding practices, manufacturing processes and procedures
• Attention to details with the ability to learn quickly
• The ability to work independently or in a group and be a team player
• A valid “G” driver’s license
