This position delivers high level nutrition and dietetic services to patients and to other stakeholder/customers withing the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) to achieve excellence in patient care, education and research as a member the multidisciplinary Adolescent and Young Adult Service (AYAS). Based in Southport.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Dietician - Senior (Adolescent and Young Adult Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will
• Independently deliver a high level of adolescent/young adult and dietetic services of a complex and varied nature
• Independently integrate evidence-based practice for clinical decision making of complex adolescent and young adult cases, adapting clinical practice
• Actively contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and... work instructions
• Actively seek opportunities and coordinate the provisions of advanced clinical advice to multispecialty and multidisciplinary teams

About You

To be successful in this position you will require:
• A possession of a tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised tertiary institution
• To be eligible for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia and accredited practicing credential
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card – QLD Health will meet the cost)
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary
• Permanent part time (60.8 hrs p.f.)
• Base salary ranging from $58.02 - $62.43 per hour
