Established for over 36 years Cembre Ltd are a leading manufacturer of connectors, tooling and identification products used in the majority of electrical installations and Rail & Power applications.

Due to continued growth & strategic plans for growth within the UK & RoI markets, we are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to support Electrical Distributors in selling to the OEM, Panel Builder and Electrical Contractor markets.

The ideal candidate must be based in the South West of the UK and will be an experienced sales professional looking for a challenge in a demanding and competitive marketplace, with a proven track record of selling within the electrical industry either with a manufacturing or electrical distribution & wholesaling background.

Key Responsibilities
• Achieve or exceed company sales targets by building a strong pipeline for new enquiries and orders.
• Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and evaluate customer needs.
• Actively seek out... new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and the use of social media.
• Work closely with distributors and build strong relationships with both the distributor and their customers, helping to grow and develop the sales within your territory
• Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
• Carry out product demonstrations and set up product trials where necessary
• Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.
• Create frequent reviews and reports covering sales and financial data
• Develop and build on existing relationships with key Independent & national electrical distributors.

What are we looking for?
• Experience, in a sales Engineer’s role, ideally within the electrical industry.
• Manufacturing or electrical distribution, wholesale background advantageous.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and SAP / ERP system
• Experience of using CRM systems
• Proven track record in sales and routes to market
• Commercial acumen
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with customers at all organisational levels
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills
