Job Description

Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support Engineer / Contracts Engineer required to join a mechanical engineering supplier based near Corby.

The successful Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support Engineer / Contracts Engineer shall provide technical sales support, proposals, quotations, and order handling to customers on various products such as compressors, vacuum systems, air blowers & dryers and other compressed air and pneumatic / compressed air equipment.

The Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support Engineer / Contracts Engineer will ideally have experience in a technical sales support role or similar customer service role within the electrical or mechanical engineering sector. Would also consider graduates with a mechanical engineering degree looking to kick start their career. Full product training is provided.

£25,000-£28,000 depending on experience

Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support Engineer / Contracts Engineer Role

Give technical advice and guidance on correct compressed air product selection as per customers’ needs.

Generate & provide quotations & proposals of compressors, vacuum systems, air blowers & dryers and other compressed air and pneumatic/compressed air equipment to customers.

Carry out contractual review and preparation of formal quotations against customer requirements.

Provide technical sales support and cover to other sales, service & design team with all aspects of customer services - e.g. order processing, expediting, documentation etc.

Technical proposals and support to the sales, service and design team through effective coordination and preparation of electrical & mechanical engineering quotations.

Offer customers advice on mechanical engineering products such as compressors, vacuum systems, air blowers & dryers and other compressed air and pneumatic/compressed air equipment.

Liaise with various engineering departments.

Internal Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Support Engineer / Contracts Engineer Requirements

Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable mechanical engineering supplier.

Technical aptitude and / or understanding of electrical or mechanical engineering components is advantageous. Full product training provided.

Experience as an Internal Sales Engineer, Technical Advisor, Technical Support Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Contracts Engineer, Account Manager, Technical Sales Support, Technical Sales Engineer or similar.

Service Engineers with compressor or mechanical engineering experience looking to come off the tools would also be of interest.

Technical electrical, electronic or mechanical qualification, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
