Main Purpose

To maintain engineering integrity and quality of production processes and outputs and to provide engineering support to the production manager to meet targets.

Duties
• Collaborating with the Production Manager to ensure production, repairs and company quality objectives are met;
• Technical oversight over production processes for improved quality, efficiency and yield;
• Verification of production line setup prior to batch production;
• Ongoing Quality assessment of manufactured products and repairs to ensure that they meet specification;
• Verification, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of all production equipment;
• Liaise with Development to jointly analyse and troubleshoot product and process failures and continuous improvement;
• Implement and conduct incoming goods inspections on all incoming components;
• Conduct and maintain records of first article inspections (FAI) on new and existing products;
• To monitor and control all quality issues on the... production line including but not limited to:
• measuring and analysing process and product related deviations;
• implementing corrective actions in accordance with the QMS;
• recommending quality improvements in both products and systems;
• To audit the production processes and activities of the production staff to ensure compliance with work instructions in accordance with the QMS;
• Liaise with Production Manager on continuous optimisation of the production processes;
• Analyse, collate and present data on production issues to the senior management team;
• Facilitate transfer of newly designed or changed product from development into production;
• Keep abreast of new developments within area of expertise;
• Compliance with the Quality Management System;
• Compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental policies
