The role: Senior C++ Developer

We’re looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join our talented and dynamic Poker Development team in our Weston Road Office – Woodbridge, Toronto!

The Senior C++ Developer will play a pivotal role in the Server team, developing leading-edge software products that deliver the world’s best online poker experience. You’ll be designing, developing and maintaining the code for Poker backend servers. Our servers operate 24/7 and are the backbone of PokerStars online poker offering.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to participate in the whole lifecycle of software development – solving problems and working on new features, designing solutions, coding, testing and supporting production environments.

Why we need you:
• Reporting directly to the Manager, Poker Server the Senior C++ Developer will:
• Create software that runs 24/7 that is enjoyed by millions of users world-wide.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of... object-oriented programming languages and standard libraries (C++ preferred).
• Be proficient with SQL and Relational Databases.
• Provide solid written and communication skills.
• Have a degree in Computer science or related degree along with shown experience in a software development company .

Who you are:
• Expert knowledge of OOPs (C++ is preferred)
• Strong database knowledge (SQL)
• Working knowledge of operating systems’ APIs (Windows or Linux).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP and HTTP protocols is a plus.
• An understanding of poker and other card games as well as the online gaming industry is a plus.
