About the Job

Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the Software Developer In Test will manage the quality control of our cloud backup solutions. The Software Developer In Test will be a part of a team that helps developers reduce their exposure to bugs... while increasing the quality of their releases.

The Software Developer in Test is a key role in helping us “pave the road to production” - enabling the organization to deliver quality software from the engineering team to production in a timely manner.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Contribute to the design and ownership of the automated test infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline
• Build an automated testing infrastructure that can scale to many SaaS platforms
• Work on and with automated test solutions for APIs and/or UI
• Automate performance modeling and testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline
• Advocate for performance, scalability and resilience of services in developer and QA teams
• Provide input and best practices for overall testing strategy in the R&D organization
• Participate in test pipeline triage rotation and ensure pipeline failures are triaged promptly
• Collaborate with other QA team members
• Identify and collect key KPIs for product quality
• Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD systems and automating release pipelines
• 3+ years of professional software automation testing experience
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD systems and automating release pipelines
• 2+ years of experience using AWS
• Practical experience with Docker and container orchestration systems (ECS, K8s)
• Solid understanding of continuous, automated testing methodologies for SaaS applications
• Have experience with at least one of the following- Java, Ruby, Shell scripting, Python
• Experience with Ruby on Rails would be an asset
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills
