Job Description

MLSE Sport Performance Lab is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer on a 12-month contract to help deliver outstanding systems and applications across MLSE team operations. This individual will work within a multi-functional systems team tasked with developing sporting solutions ranging from cloud architecture to tablet applications.

• Develop and deploy application solutions using modern software development practices and security standards.
• Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and exploration of solution alternatives.
• Partner with other MLSE departments to define technical strategy and efficiently integrate solutions within the existing technical landscape.
• Can work flexible and varying schedules including extended hours relating to team operations.

• Strong Software Engineering experience with proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript
• Experience working with relational SQL databases, such as PostgreSQL
• Comfortable working with design tools (e.g.., Figma) for handoffs
• Experience designing and building cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience using source control technology such as GitHub
• Experience consuming, building, and maintaining APIs
• Preferred Experience working with React, Node.js, and D3.js
• Preferred Experience working with the Python and the SciPy Stack (Numpy, Matplotlib, Pandas, etc.)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Strong grasp of the on-field rules and off-field regulations of various sports.
• Effective communicator that can clearly express technical concepts to other specialists
