About the role

We’re looking for an Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our growing team!

What you'll do here:
• Install, maintain, and upgrade z/OS operating system and associated software products.
• Provide technical support for z/OS system programming, including problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Perform system capacity planning, performance... analysis, and tuning to ensure optimal system performance.
• Develop and maintain IMS environments, including database, transaction manager, and application subsystems.
• Design, implement, and maintain system-level security measures and access controls.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues and obtain required support.
• Collaborate with other team members and clients to identify and address system requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configuration, processes, and procedures.
• Provide after-hours support for critical system issues and scheduled maintenance, as needed.

What you bring to the table:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or any combination of equivalent education and experience
• Change management functions: ticketing, opening and closing changes, etc.
• Performing Data Security audits (collecting evidence)
• Can identify issues and recognize deviations from accepted practices and processes.
• Proficiency in IMS (Information Management System), including IMS DB/DC, and IMS utilities.
• Familiarity with programming languages, such as COBOL, Assembler, and REXX
• Strong knowledge of z/OS system components, such as JES2, RACF, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, and DFSMS
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Work in a self-driven, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
